The “e2 Mold” technology
gets to the heart of the temperature

small – smart – simple

EFFECTIVE

The “e2 Mold” technology is based on a new type of heating element that is integrated into the injection mold and enables partial and dynamic temperature control.

The process heat is generated close to the contour in the tool and only heats up small tool volumes in a matter of seconds. This leads to a significant reduction in energy consumption compared to other systems. Depending on the system comparison, this results in 100-400 times lower energy consumption.

The temperature distribution in the mold can be precisely controlled with the “e2 Mold” technology and adapted to the respective application.

In the test setup shown in the video, the infrared image clearly shows the selective heating phases.

COMPACT

The compact “e2 Mold” system with its dimensions of 32 mm × 20 mm × 9 mm fits easily into small mold inserts. The compact, statically resilient design also ensures high strength throughout the entire tool application.

The compact design results from the heatsealing band geometry, which is only a few tenths of a millimeter thick and approx. 5 mm wide.

SIMPLE

The system is optimized for particularly practical use.

  • It is easy to integrate into a tool – even into existing tools.
  • It is easy to use – changing the heating element is comparable to changing a light bulb.
  • The power supply units are simple and tried and tested.

SAFE

The electrical characteristics of the “e2 Mold” system meet the requirements of safety extra-low voltage (SELV). The required operating voltage (<24V) is so low that there is no danger from excessive body currents when touching the device directly, either during normal operation or in the event of a single fault.

CONCLUSION

Effective elimination of visible weld lines, dull spots and other quality problems in plastic injection molding production through precise temperature control.

  • Enormously efficient

  • Compact design for easy integration

  • Simple assembly and handling. A 230V socket is required.

  • Particularly safe due to low operating voltage

  • Greatly improved PCF (Product Carbon Footprint) thanks to minimized energy consumption

  • Excellent cost-benefit ratio
